After so much destruction and killings brought about by terrorism all over the world it is sad to contemplate how our Russian Orthodox brothers have to celebrate Christmas in the aftermath of the explosions in Volgograd. Russia is making a comeback from a long dark nightmare, my prayers and those of everyone in the Christian world are with President Putin, the Russian security forces, and the people of Russia. May the love of our Lady of Kazan protect your souls. May the Lord give you the strength to suffer for Him and come out the victors in every struggle with the forces of evil and chaos attacking your families.
This is a short open letter of sorts to President Putin and Patriarch Kirill to consider one glorious move and listen to the counsel of the Mother of all Russians in one subject.
At Fatima, on July 13, 1917, Our Lady told Sister Lucy of Fatima:
“God is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the Communions of reparation and for the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart … In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, which will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”
I am sure our Holy Father, Pope Francis is willing to humbly join Patriarch Kirill and all the Patriarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church and consecrate Russia as Our Lady has requested. I believe this request of Our Blessed Mother has not been fulfilled yet because Rome and Moscow have acted always with great prudence to avoid the widening of the chasm that has separated us for centuries. What better way to get closer to unity than to embrace the desires of Our Mother’s Immaculate Heart?
I am sure President Putin has realized by now that the world is in the middle of a titanic struggle between good and evil. The President has seen how the forces of the culture of death nearly erased Russia’s population through abortion and vice. Russia has been returning to God from the depths of great age of suffering and loss. The time to reverse that damage is here and now Russia can tap a great source of power and strength available to faithful mankind: the riches of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, President Putin, dear Holy Father Francis: I and all the faithful followers of Our Lady of Fatima ask you to find a way to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary so that Russia can be shielded from her enemies and achieve her glorious Christian destiny.
Who would deny that this hour demands unity? Who would deny our Lord what He asked in John chapter 9, that all Christians be one as He and the Father are one? Let us begin to live faithful and obedient to the will of Jesus and Mary by walking together, consecrating Russia to the Immaculate Heart of the Mother of God.
I pray my humble plea will reach you and also reach your hearts.
