This evening Buenos Aires is experiencing a Southeaster storm, similar to the New England Noreasters just blowing the opposite way.

I am reading the news of President Putin visiting Mount Athos along with Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church. The world is changing too fast. If someone would have told me in 1990 that one day a former head of the KGB was going to piously kiss the icons of Jesus Christ and of Our Blessed Mother, I would have been skeptical to say the least. And yet it happened today. I also remembered that President Putin is not in the best terms with Turkey so… his visit to Greece, that by the way is armed to the teeth with the latest German-made weapons, leaves me with lots of questions. Is Putin preparing to move on Turkey? That would really turn the Syrian conflict into World War III.

We shall see what the future brings but it is very strange to see the way international politics evolve these days. As the rain pours outside my window the rumors of a much larger and darker storm cover the world with anxiety.

What is coming up …

The last series published in this blog has attracted some new readers. It is becoming impractical for me to send emails every time I publish something, so I encourage all to hit the “follow” button there near the top of the screen, on the right column.

Additionally in the SPANISH section I have posted a transcription of some powerful witness by Fr Jorge Loring SJ about the apparitions of Our Lady at Garabandal. Fr Loring passed on in 2014. I dare to say that, in the Spanish language, he was the most respected Catholic apologist of his generation. His book Para Salvarte is a classic. Fr Loring lived a truly apostolic life, may he rest in peace.

I expect to continue publishing parts of the Vademecum and also articles on other themes. Inspiration has been on vacation for a few weeks. I hope it comes back!

Finally I want to send a warm “Thank you” to those who sent their support so far. A blessed Sunday of Corpus Christi to all of you. Don’t forget to check that “follow” button. God bless you all!
