Please remember to pray for and if possible donate to support this ministry

For what is worth, I have been praying a lot during the last few days. My prayers are pretty much like a constant conversation with the Lord and Our Lady now. I feel the urge to talk with them constantly. The last thing I felt was a sense that this is a time for total, almost irrational trust, like a little child who blindly trusts his mother and father, we must trust with all our hearts even when everything seems to collapse around us. The warning of Our Lady keeps coming back to me:

“The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary
and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.” (Our Lady of Akita)

I am no visionary. My simple feelings compare poorly with what others like Sr. Sasagawa have been declaring lately. Here where I live, the sense of finality is something one can almost touch. It may be connected to the political situation and the ominous events happening both in Chile and Bolivia, our neighbors to the west and north in that order. My most recent post for The Lepanto Institute deals with the dire situation in Chile.

Many good and faithful people I know have been gently mocking the idea of a Divine Warning or Illumination of Conscience. I do not blame them for not believing that human beings can repent. We see too much open wickedness and we have lost our sense of normality. Those who were born in the last thirty years or so, have no idea of how different the world was for their parents and grand parents. One cannot convey the sense of everyday life. Looking back to my 30’s I feel I was living in paradise back then but things have deteriorated greatly ever since and no one seems to notice. As a world, we are careening out of control.

We need a divine warning. I am sure that the many saints and holy men that saw that warning coming through the ages were not making things up. One of them was St. Jean-Marie Vianney. He was given the grace to contemplate his own soul for a few minutes. I was told he could not eat for several days. And that was a saint. God have mercy on me, I may have to go on a very long fast. I can use it for sure.

When the warning comes, it will be the greatest act of mercy ever to be bestowed on mankind. I believe we will see it, perhaps we will see it soon. It will be for most of us, the single most important event of our entire life.

Not long ago, on last August 13, I wrote this to a friend not even imagining how much things were going to change in such a short time.

I tell you that it is possible that God will apply a strong correction to this world we live in. I dare to think that the time of  human government in the world has come to an end. We stand a god chance of seeing the renewal of the Earth by the Holy Spirit. The things that are happening should shake us and return us to the most absolute sobriety. These thoughts come from reading a very strong article by Fr. Regis Scanlon. You can read it in my blog.

Read holy books, pray intensely and aim to have a joyous saintly life. Most of you. my readers are far away and the time may come that I lose touch with most of you as disorder in the world increases. We always have the communion of saints, we are one body in Him who created us, the same One who is about to show the unfathomable depths of his mercy.

Therefore, keep awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or at dawn, or else he may find you asleep when he comes suddenly. And what I say to you I say to all: Keep awake.’ (Mark 13:35-37)

Trust in Him. Keep awake.
