In this year of Our Lord 2022, the crisis of the Catholic Church is coming to a head. [1] This is a crisis that spans my whole life although it was originated much long ago. One could argue it started when Constantinople went its own way in 1054 A.D. Others may say that the fall of Constantinople pushed the Christians dissident with Rome into the heart of Europe thus planting the seeds of Luther’s rebellion. Around 1503 the Pope conceived the idea of building a new basilica of St. Peter. The original basilica build by Emperor Constantine (after whom Constantinople was named) was built in the form of a cross. Pope Julius’ new basilica was conceived as a circle and it required the demolition of much of Constantine’s building. That change, seems to me, was the harbinger of things to come and I dare to advance the idea: that was the moment in history when the Catholic Church began to morph into a shape more agreeable to this world. That was not a subtle change for that age. In fact, one of the consequences of building the enormously expensive new St. Peter’s was the German Reformation.

Five centuries later, the forces unleashed long ago are effecting changes so deep that cannot be hidden. The faithful remnant contemplate from afar what amounts to a gigantic train wreckage in slow motion. It was March 13, 2013 that the world woke up to see two popes living in the Vatican. Pope Benedict XVI had left the Civitas Vaticana for Castel Gandolfo only a few days earlier leaving a “sede vuota” (“empty chair”) if you allow me to use his own exact words.

A contemporary Italian journalist, and a brilliant vaticanista, puts it this way:

So we see that the figure of the mirror is essential to understand this matter. Appearances can be deceiving: there is a reality and there is a fictitious reality, there is a munus which is the object and there is a ministerium which is its reflection. We have a true Pope who is impeded and looks like a former Pope, and in his stead we have an antipope who looks like a true Pope. One is the reverse of the other. Therefore this mirror image quality emerges from the matter of Benedict’s Declaratio. I found it again in the third secret of Fatima. (Andrea Cionci, Le non-dimissioni di Benedetto XVI. Non praevalebunt)

The long road of disobedience

In 1917 Our Lady of Fatima warned us through the three little shepherds that –unless something was done– the error of Russia was going to spread and a new terrible war was coming. The error of Russia originated some four centuries earlier. While the round new basilica of St. Peter was being built in Italy, the first wife of Basil III, Tsar of Russia, could not bear an heir to the throne. For that reason the Tsar got rid of her (rather unceremoniously) to marry his Ukrainian mistress, Elena Glinskaya. From that union was born the prince who would later be Ivan the Terrible. St. Maximus the Greek prophesied to the Tsar of Russia chastising him in this way:

“O most devoted Tsar, honored as the true monarch who works to establish the lives of his subjects in righteousness and justice, who has always succeeded in overcoming lust and the low passions of his soul. He knows that those who are slaves of his passions are not the living image of the Heavenly Master but a crude image of the raw nature. “ [NOTE: Notice how St. Maximus uses the idea of a reflection there.]

The Tsar, anxious perhaps to father an heir, foolishly ignored the hint of the good Patriarch. He was trying to establish a dynasty without God’s blessing. Another Patriarch, Mark of Jerusalem gave the Tsar (from a safe distance, mind you) the following warning:

“If you do this iniquity, you will have an evil son. Your kingdom will be filled with terrors and tears. Rivers of blood will flow; the heads of the nobles will fall; your cities will be devoured by fire. “

We need not remind the horrified reader that the Tsar begot his prince and what followed, the fulfillment of that prophecy, can be read in any book of Russian history. Ivan was crowned 370 years before the October Revolution. Those four centuries saw the fulfillment of the terrible prophecy with no less terrible accuracy. The dynasty born of that decision of Basil III disappeared from history when the Romanov were killed by the Communist hordes. The Great War and the 1918 Influenza Pandemic ended the lives of millions, including two of the Little Shepherds. What followed was the start of a very unstable new European order that would give us total war, nuclear weapons, the new morality, and other apocalyptic woes.

Not long after that Great War, various forces began attacking the Catholic Church with renewed vigor. The Communist Russian ruler, Joseph Stalin had a plan to infiltrate young homosexual communists in Catholic seminaries. According to Bella Dodd, a Communist who converted to the Catholic Faith, four of those men were already Cardinals of the Catholic Church by 1954. It is quite possible that as early as the late 1950’s, a number of those infiltrated men had gained enough influence in the Church participating in planning the Second Vatican Council.

The rest of the story until our own days is, sadly enough, well known. The ancient Mass was unceremoniously tossed aside and every conceivable aspect of the Catholic religion was modified. Certain venerable practices disappeared; others were changed until they were made practically unrecognizable. The Church was “protestantized” supposedly to make things more appealing to the public but none of that helped to fill the pews. Catholics around the world grew accustomed to empty churches, abandoned monasteries, indifferent priests, and the discovery of unspeakable vices among the clergy.

The Russian curse spread like wildfire and was reaching the Church. In 1958, the beloved Eugenio Pacelli, Pope Pius XII died in Rome and Giuseppe Angelo Roncalli ascended to the Papacy as John XXIII, surprisingly taking the name of a 1378 Antipope who ruled during the Western Schism. Perhaps he did not know it then but Pastor et Nauta, the former Patriarch of Venice was going to take the barque of Peter into the stormy waters of the end times.

John XXIII was the Pope who refused to reveal the Third Secret of Fatima to the Church in 1960, thus disobeying Our Lady in a very grave matter. In 1961, not long after that fateful decision, Our Lady of Mount Carmel began to appear to four young girls in Garabandal, Spain. It is quite suggesting that Our Lady decided to appear as Our Lady of Mount Carmel. It was on Mount Carmel that Elijah defeated the false priests and prophets of Baal. Garabandal, a new Mount Carmel, was the town chosen by the Virgin Mary to warn the faithful about the poisonous fruits of the infiltration:

“Many Cardinals, Bishops and priests are following the road to perdition, and with them they are taking many more souls. Ever less importance is being given to the Holy Eucharist. We should turn the wrath of God away from us by our own efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with a sincere heart.”

The Third Secret was not revealed to the public, Russia was not consecrated as requested, and the infiltrated clergy went full steam ahead with their plans to demolish the Church. Disobey the voice of Heaven was the order of the day. The long march of disobedience continued sowing and soon mankind would harvest its bitter fruits.

Back to Garabandal. The Pope and the Bishops of the whole world did not dare to offend the U.S.S.R. by consecrating that country to the Immaculate Heart of Mary but … they had no problem calling a universal Council to mess around with liturgy, doctrine, pastoral practice, and all kinds of sacred things. They did not have to wait long on God’s opinion about those plans. John XXIII passed away in Rome that June 3, 1963. Less than five months later, the U.S. President was assassinated in Dallas.

Father José Luis Saavedra, a scholar and expert in all things related to the apparitions of Garabandal informs us:

One of the topics that has set people talking about Garabandal is the so-called prophecy of the three popes, linked to the proclamation of an imminent end of time. It is such a delicate topic that it can be misunderstood and misinterpreted. Therefore, we are going to reflect using the information we have, taking care not to interpret what is not up to us to decide but rather up to the Church. It was June 3, 1963. The news of Pope John XXIII’s death had just reached Garabandal and Conchita made her way to the church with her mother to pray for the Pontiff’s eternal repose. On their way, Conchita hears the unmistakable voice of Our Blessed Mother in her saying, “After this pope, there are only three left. Then [it will be] the end of times.” Soon after, the Virgin Mary specifies that even though she says that only three are left, there will be another that will “govern the Church for a very short time,” which is why She does not include him on the list. There are witnesses that affirm hearing Conchita make this clarification during that very month: June 1963. This means that, in one sentence Our Blessed Mother prophesied two things: (1) There are only three popes left. Then it will be the end of times. (2) To assure us that her first affirmation is true, Our Blessed Mother provides a sign: “there will actually be one more pope, but his pontificate will be so brief that I do not count him.” We all know who that pope is whose pontificate was so ephemeral that it did not come to be a great influence on the Church’s destiny: John Paul I, pope from August 26, 1978 until his death on September 28, 1978. Pope Luciani’s 33 day-long pontificate corresponded perfectly to this exceptional prediction, impossible to [anticipate] in 1963. The three popes from Our Lady’s prophecy are therefore Paul VI, John Paul II and Benedict XVI. (The Three Popes and the End of Times in Garabandal;  Fr. J.L. Saavedra, Garabandal: Message of Hope. Publ. Santander, Spain, 2015.)

Now, thanks to the message given to Conchita Gonzalez, the visionary of Garabandal, we have a better idea of the number of Popes in line until the beginning of the End of Times. But … we have one unexpected Pope occupying the chair of Peter, Francis. That would be a fourth Pope. Does that mean that the End Times are already under way? Not according to Andrea Cionci who says, if you kindly allow me to repeat the quote with my additions in brackets for clarity:

“We have a true Pope [Benedict XVI] who is impeded and looks like a former Pope, and in his stead we have an antipope [Francis] who looks [deceptively] like a true Pope.”

If one thinks about it, Our Lady not only validated her prediction of the Popes by mentioning the brief reign of Pope John Paul I, she also provided us with an important clue to unmask a coming false Pope.

This is a very strong clue that shows us that (1) We are not yet entering the End Times as Our Blessed Mother understands it and (2) Pope Benedict XVI is effectively in sede impedita when we consider the evidence brilliantly presented by Andrea Cionci. But there is an even stronger set of clues, one that has been resting in Catholic libraries all over the world for many centuries: The Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to Malachi of Armagh.

The Prophecy of the Popes

The prophecy of St. Malachi identifies all the Popes until the End of Times in a list of 112 riddles. There are some antipopes included but not all. It was allegedly discovered in the Vatican Archives where it had been resting since the 12th century, and was published by Arnold Wion, a Benedictine monk. Some opine that the Popes up to the 1500’s are extremely easy to identify while identifying marks for the Popes reigning from the 1600’s onward are more obscure. For many centuries that document was considered a pious forgery. But the Popes corresponding to our age, those predicted by this supposedly false prophecy several centuries ago, exhibit a number of coincidences worth noting. I will list the last five here for your consideration. As far as I am concerned, I do not think anyone could have figured out the number of Popes all the way to this age. Neither I think they could have reached such accuracy in creating emblems to describe them. For example, De Medietate Lunae is accurate enough to convince me. Now, if you are expecting a list of names with passport numbers . . . no prophecy is ever going to satisfy you. Think of it: these five emblems were thought by someone 500 years ago. That is enough precision for me.

Pastor et Nauta: John XXIII who ascended to the Papacy in 1958. This “pastor and mariner” steered the barque of Peter right into the storm of the 1960’s and called the Second Vatican Council. Flos Florum: Paul VI who ascended to the Papacy in 1963. This “Flower of Flowers” was the author of Populorum Progressio and Humanae Vitae. He had a fleur de lys in his coat of arms. De Medietate Lunae: John Paul I, born on the diocese of Belluno (beautiful moon.) His name, Albino Luciani (white luminary) is also suggestive. His reign lasted only 33 days roughly from half moon to half moon. Some affirm that he was poisoned. De Labore Solis: John Paul II who also ascended to the Papacy in 1978. Was born during a solar eclipse and there was a solar eclipse on the day he died. De Gloria Olivae: The Glory of the Olive Tree. Pope Benedict XVI ascended to the Papacy in 2005. The message of his emblem seems to point at Israel, whose symbol is the olive tree, a tree that has the property of being able to regenerate from a branch even if the branch is cut off. (cf. Romans 11)

Petrus Romanus: After De Gloria Olivae there is one more mysterious emblem, different from the rest.

In persecutione extrema S.R.E. sedebit. Petrus Romanus, qui pascet oves in multis tribulationibus, quibus transactis civitas septicollis diruetur, & judex tremendus judicabit populum suum. Finis.

In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit [reign, govern] Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.

Many believe this is Jorge Mario Bergoglio. Not to repeat the arguments presented above proving the invalid nature of his arrival to the Papacy, I refer the reader one more time to Mr. Andrea Cionci’s article. If –as we have amply argued– antipope Francis is a false Pope, there is still one real Pope to come before the End of Times, or Last Days. The most important attribute of this Petrus Romanus is his reigning under the last persecution of the Church. How is that persecution be triggered? We do not know but we can speculate with prudence since, apparently, we are very close in time to those events.

Again, this is my guess-work, my speculation: the false Papacy of Bergoglio will be exposed. The globalist religion he is working to impose will have to resort to violence to eliminate the faithful Catholics remaining firmly, faithfully on the side of the Church of the ages and her unchanging doctrine and mission. By the time the persecution occurs there may be miraculous events. A massive conversion may follow (Jews, Muslims, others) that will impede the plans of the global takeover now in progress. The Church will be surrounded and God will intervene at the last minute to save life on Earth and protect the just.  See A Dream of St. John Bosco to have some idea of what will transpire during that time.

What we can surmise at this point is that: given the advanced age of Benedict and his fragile health, the advent of Petrus Romanus is not too far. The election of a valid Pope by the faithful Church may result not only in schism but a sort of religious war. The church of “everything goes” that has been growing since the days of the Second Vatican Council and her globalist allies may decide to snuff the faithful remnant (see Revelation 12) thus triggering the End Times when divine intervention will save Christ’s flock at the edge of time.

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ and he will reign for ever and ever.’ (Revelation 11:15)

Remember the words revealed to St. John Bosco:

“Things are slow to follow one another. But the exalted Queen of Heaven is present. The power of the Lord is in his hands. He scatters like mist his enemies. He clothes anew the venerable old man with all his ancient garments.”
